L Plates Exterior

Exterior L plates are square plates designed to be affixed to your vehicle while learning to drive. This makes it clear to other drivers that there is a learner behind the wheel, encouraging them to give extra space on the road.

Key Features

• You must put an L plate on the front and back of your vehicle so they can be seen easily.
• You must display L plates on your car if you have yet to pass your driving test.
• You should have one at the rear and one at the front, as stated. 
• Ireland requires L plates to be displayed on your car for at least six months while learning to drive, until you pass your driving test.
• Two plates are included in each pack.
